About

Do you love to cook and entertain? To feed people well? I do. It’s one of my favourite things in the world. There’s something magical about gathering people around a table—beautiful cheeses, good bread, cured meats, fruit, pickles, and a few little jars of something special to bring it all together. Creating those trays of flavour and watching friends discover new pairings is pure joy for me. But the story of Range Road Garden Farms begins long before the jams.

About to fill a stockpot.

In the late 1970s my Air Force husband and I were posted to Germany. Those four years were unforgettable. We travelled widely and discovered the extraordinary food culture of Europe—especially the way cheeses and meats were served with savory preserves and condiments. Not sweet breakfast jams, but bold, savoury ones—paired with charcuterie, cheese, and wine. We fell in love with them. When we returned to Canada, we went searching for those same flavours. We looked everywhere—even in Toronto—but couldn’t find them anywhere. So I started making them myself. What began as small batches in my kitchen for family and friends slowly grew into something more. Encouraged by the people around me who insisted these jams were something special, I began selling them at small local markets. Range Road Garden Farms was born.

What started with three or four charcuterie jams and a couple of toast jams has grown over the years into a collection of more than twenty flavours in each category—each one still made in small batches and inspired by the joy of sharing good food. Because in the end, that’s what it’s all about. Helping people create their own perfect charcuterie evening.
